Oprah's Doc tells her Embryonic Stem Cell Debate is Dead

Submitted by FREEDOMMM | 12 months ago

On Air in front of Oprah and Michael J Fox, Dr. Oz, usually one of Da Oprah's favorite Docs, explains why embryonic stem cell research is dead. Just as we said a few years ago when this argument was at fever pitch, the Right argued that they are uncontrollable and have caused Brain Cancer in Rats. However, he explains how Adult Stem Cells are just a few"single digit years" from practical application. The Right didn't win this though, science did.

Private investors were avoiding ESC because those cells are unadaptable. They have made advances from ASC in the form of Skin, Testes and Wisdom Teeth. Don't worry, I'm sure the left will find a constitutional right to genetic engineering anyday, you can take a hit on this issue.

<rolling eyes> ASC has been around a lot longer than ESC so of course it's going to have more breakthroughs than ESC. ASC has had more than 50 years (correct me if I'm wrong) of research and manipulation. Doctors know what to do with ASC and they know the probably outcomes of what they are testing. ESC is still in the very beginning stages. Gov't cuts off funding which makes private investor's avoid it like the plague. Gov't has now started funding it again and private investor's are lining up again. There can be breakthroughs on both fronts. Why just limit it to just one source that's not very plentiful?

To the hacks, it's about abortion, not the research. fox was their useful idiot, he was agitprop to win an election. I was dissillusioned with the debate back in '04 when John Edwards told people that Christopher Reeve would walk again if they would vote for John Kerry. TWA to you too.

For about two years I've been following stem cell research. Hasn't mattered how often I kept talking about the gains that were being made with adult stem cell, the things being treated/cured already, mostly in trials. Too many people here can't decide what human life is, so I usually stick to other reasons to say no to ESC. Last month I posted an article on my blog about taxpayer money funding ESC research. Don't think it was ever posted here.

Your telling me! Fox came to Missouri and campaigned for a state constitutional amendment to establish embryonic Stem cell research, which will probably just open the door for the pro aborts if Roe ever get's overturned. Then, he said our GOP Sen. Jim Talent didn't want to find a cure for his disease. We now have Claire McCasskill, who will actually harm Parkinson Patients when she votes for Socialist Healthcare. The look on Fox's face was worth watching the video all on it's own. I can't stand him, he doesn't know his a$$ from his elbow.

It is so refreshing to see someone like Oprah giving time to one of the reasons private research won't pay for embryonic stem cell research!

And taxpayers will foot the bill for research that is Pure Politics!
