Reasoning moderates don't defend actions they think are undesirable, regardless of the actor. Or dismiss complex figures with puerile labels.

And they don't see the world in simple binary colors. Example: Most will acknowledge Sarah Palin is pretty smart, but believe she just doesn't know much, and holds views from the fringe on some difficult issues.

Arguing that language has a fixed meaning apart from the context in which it's expressed, and by whom it's expressed, is either dishonest or naively simple.

Maybe you should have some words with him? It seems she's trying to lay low a while, who knows why, and the revolution must not be impeded.

Well, her "advance" was stopped at least once, and fairly recently. That's undeniable.

So either

(a) Katie Couric is more powerful than God - which I think is unlikely, or
(b) she is not called, "truly" or otherwise.

Never heard of Harry, though, other than in concert with his friends Tom and Dick. Round these parts one would be going "to beat the band."

Pop culture drives our language to a large extent of course. Blame South Park for re-writing great swaths. And for giving us "sweet."

	→ Well, either I agree or I don't.

I agree that he won't do things that will turn our foreign policy upside-down.

But he will work the seams and make some powerful symbolic moves aimed at slowly rebuilding our standing in the world community.
