Neither is Bernie Sanders. It’s either Obama all over again (please no!!) or bankrupt the country and have Ilhan Omar and her cronies inviting all and sundry across our borders and a new level of lawlessness. What a choice!
I have my doubts whether Biden will be able to weather the storm when Trump and Sanders start to expose his past misdemeanours and Burisma is even bigger an issue than it is now. He wouldn’t even be there without the lifesaving endirsrment from Jim Clyburn which convinced others to jump on the bandwagon. It is a sad indictment indeed that this sick man is being propelled by the Dems as Presidential material, and I fear for Bidens well being.
Bidens record doesn’t show him in a good light. Iraq, social security cuts, the abandonment of working and middle class voters by changing bankruptcy laws added to his current confusion laden performances, daft comments and lack of policies and he is a great risk even for the Establishment hierarchy. He is fortunate that Jim Clyburns endorsement turned his campaign around, and the African-American voters who were ready to ditch Biden (after his early savagings in Iowa and New Hampshire) revigorated and reinvented Bidens candidacy when he looked down and out. Before Clyburns intervention, Biden thought that all he had to do was turn up and mention the Obama name and he would be the chosen Dem candidate by default, his arrogance and lack of campaign graft proved otherwise as he floundered and was incredibly close to throwing in the towel. Sanders on the other hand has worked tirelessly throughout the campaign but his Socialist views and the endorsements of Buttigieg, Klobuchar and Bloomberg for Biden has dented his ambitions. Biden is running on a record that is underwhelming and counterproductive for many Dems while his mental health has justifiably been brought into question. Sanders will be far too sharp for him in a debate but…Sanders is not wanted by the Establishment figures and they will decide who goes forward in the end.
