Church And State in 2020

The Pew research center shows that over 73% of Republicans are a Christian based community such as Evengelism.

Today the vote’s of the American people have placed a man in charge to lead our Nation astray. A man who treats women with disrespect and a man who resonate’s with Lies and Hate and almost lead our Nation to the brink of war. But in the eye’s of his voters’ President Trump is a chosen man from God who was put on the earth to lead our country and unite the people of every Nation. The Belief’s and the heavy influence behind Trumps’ vote’s were not soley based on Freedom and Liberty but rather influenced based on the Bible and Christian faith. Now that doesn’t seem bad ofcourse especially on behalf of a country who believe’s in the Freedom of Religion but you do need to understand the impact of such beliefs’ that have made a vital and crucial role for the future of America.

The First Amendment which ratified in 1791 states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” This clause not only forbids the government from establishing an official religion, but also prohibits government actions that unduly favor one religion over another. Now Trump has been widely open about his faith and relationship to the Evangelical community, This is not a bad thing for every President before Trump has been a man of faith. But what we need to understand is the fact that Trump represents America as well as our government and claims to be an evangelist who in return has degraded the Muslim community which coordinates with the phrase “prohibits government actions that unduly favor one religion over another.”

The question then is “How can we allow our President to favor christianity over Islam? or allow 73% of republicans to influence our elections based on Christian beliefs rather than Fact’s?” Jefferson once wrote that religious liberty, free from state tampering, would be a key part of the American vision but today this nearly seems to be the case which in return has divided our Nation and we as people have succumb to the reality of Church and state. It is time to wake up and realize the brutal mess in politics and throughout our society, only then can we come together to fix these pathetic gap’s that divide the people among every race, gender and class.

There should not be a wall between Church and Government. This country was built on Christianity and faith.

The U.S. Constitution is a wholly secular document. It contains no mention of Christianity or Jesus Christ. In fact, the Constitution refers to religion only twice in the First Amendment, which bars laws “respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof,” and in Article VI, which prohibits “religious tests” for public office. Both of these provisions are evidence that the country was not founded as officially Christian.

What are you talking about? How can we allow our President to favor Christianity over Islam (by the way, why did you write Christianity in small letters and Islam in capital letters?). Do you think we live in Saudi Arabia?

“he First Amendment which ratified in 1791 states that “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.” This clause not only forbids the government from establishing an official religion, but also prohibits government actions that unduly favor one religion over another”

How did you come to that genius conclusion? What does it mean to favor one religion over another?
