CNN: Analysis: What Biden’s ‘damn liar’ exchange shows when it comes to his candidacy

To what extent would CNN go in their attempts to defend Democratic candidates at all costs? Now they are saying that Biden’s bizarre exchange with a 83-year-old voter shows a lot of passion, which makes him the man the Dems are looking for to beat Trump.

Are you kidding? The man asked Biden a legitimate question. And what did Biden do? Shut him down without explaining anything. If this episode shows anything, it is that …

Fox News and CNN disagree even in the matters of basic human decency.

According to CNN, when Karlan said that “Trump could name his son Barron, but he could not make him a baron”, she was joking. She only used Barron’s name to make a successful analogy about differences between the kings and presidents.
According to Fox News, as expected, Karlan should be ashamed for bringing up President’s son who is a minor:
“Only in the minds of crazed liberals is it funny to drag a 13-year-old child into the impeachmen…

So adult Hunter Biden is off-limits, but President’s young son is not? Interesting way of thinking.

I’m just saying that she was not attacking Barron or mocking him. Only mentioning his name which everyone knows.

CNN: Only lawmaker to have worked 3 impeachment probes says Trump’s Ukraine conduct ‘more serious’ than Nixon’s Watergate

Zoe Lofgren, the only lawmaker who worked on three congressional impeachment probes, claims that Trump’s actions in relation to Ukraine, are “far more serious than Watergate”. Nixon was using his position in the government to hide the Watergate burglary…but at least he did not get a foreign power involved. The Founding Fathers were especially worried about foreign interference in our …

At least Nixon was not lying and publicly intimidating witnesses, or preventing them from testifying.
How do you mean " he was not trying to get foreign power to interfere in our political system". What do you call it if he asks Zelensky to investigate his pol…

Trump was not trying to cover up his own crime, but to get the country in which Bidens had their business, to further investigate them-and possibly uncover crime (because he did not know what the outcome would be).

Fox News: 2020 Democrats attack billionaire Bloomberg, insist they aren’t rich

Other Democratic candidates are trying to turn Bloomberg’s billions against him, and pretending they are not rich. Warren thus becomes a middle-class next-door girl from Oklahoma, Sanders and his family know what paycheck life is about, Biden grew up in the middle class neighborhood, while Buttigieg is the least wealthy person among Democratic candidates. They try to hide their wealth because it would expose their hypocrisy, a…

Fox News: Liz Peek: Regretful Democrats locked into Trump impeachment – and paying a price for it

Schiff claimed that overwhelming evidence was produced against Trump and that grounds for impeaching him cannot be contested, but he also pointed out that he “wants to discuss it with his constituents and colleagues before he makes a final judgment on that”, because he wants to make sure that impeachment is what the Founding Fathers had in mind. Schiff is panicking because he is facing pressure from the public…

You still cannot deny that since the impeachment inquiry started-GOP have raised more money than ever before, while the opposite is true for the Dems. So there is something in here…

Fox News: Horowitz reportedly finds FBI lawyer falsified KEY FISA document

An FBI employee altered FISA document related to 2016 surveillance of Carter Page, Trump campaign adviser, who is suspected of being Russia’s agent and facilitating Russia’s interference in the 2016 election. Fox News suggests that key FISA document was falsified and that it casts a shadow of doubt onto the whole investigation process. Carter Page, who is interviewed by Fox News, claims that there has been a lot of cover-up and fals…

I have been reading a lot about Pelosi allegedly saying that “it is dangerous to let the voters decide Trump’s fate”.
This is what Trump tweeted: 'Nancy Pelosi just stated that ‘it is dangerous to let the voters decide Trump’s fate.’ @FoxNews In other words, she thinks I’m going to win and doesn’t want to take a chance on letting the voters decide"

The problem- he was not quoting Pelosi but Fox News reporter who was attempting to summarize what Pelosi said. What Pelosi really said was: “The weak response …

Oh, you can do better than that! Just look at it once again…do you really see the substantial difference between "The weak response to these hearings has been, ‘Let the election decide.’ That dangerous position only adds to the urgency of our action, because…

Not true…because she circulated that memo to her fellow Democrats, so when you take the context into account, you will see that is not what she meant.

1
patkgreen · 2 months ago

So what? It escapes me…what difference does that context make? She warned them against the danger of not impeaching Trump before the election, because she expects that he will win, and that is their only chance of getting rid of him.

We have been hearing a lot about Trump committing a bribery with his Ukraine call, to the point that Fox News are saying that bribery is “the new quid pro quo”. Alexandria-Ocasio Cortez has just said that: "We’re kind of knee-deep here in impeachment inquiry and so at this point, I think we’re beyond the question as to whether Trump has committed a crime or whether he’s violated the Constitution,” Ocasio-Cortez said. “He’s clearly engaged in extortion and bribery.”

Fox News: Is bribery the new quid pro quo…

Jacob’s Law Dictionary is clear: "taken largely it signifies the Receiving, or Offering, any undue Reward, to or by any Person concerned in the Administration of publick [sic] Justice.”

Do not be ridiculous…he was offering military aid, if they start the investigation. So he clearly was offering something.

That military aid was voted by the Congress. So it clearly was not Trump who was offering it. You need to offer or receive something in cash.

CNN: Trump ignores Pentagon advice and intervenes in military war crimes cases

Trump was advised by Pentagon to stay out of war crimes cases, but he pardoned two service members and restored the rank of a third. The reason why Pentagon was wary of the President intervening is that “it would damaged the integrity of the military justice system” and also endanger the trust of our allies in the US troops.
On the other hand, the White House claims that being the Commander-in-chief, the President is also a part…

I think it is obvious that Trump was acting impulsively…because it happened on the second day of the impeachment hearing, and on the day Roger Stone was convicted. And that is not the best way to make decisions.

CNN: Another red state lost. Another setback for the President.

Louisiana, one of the reddest states, did not grant Trump “his wish” and decided to re-elect its Democratic governor. The victory was so important for Trump that he visited the state twice in the last 11 days, and urged his voters to vote for GOP candidate and “send a message to the corrupt Democrats in Washington”. Local dynamics of these elections cannot be underestimated, but neither can be Democratic victory. This does not look good for 20…

I never thought I would ever post this, but here it is: Fox News and CNN agree on one thing. One person actually: Elise Stefanik.

Even though she is one of the staunchest defenders of Trump in the impeachment probe, giving Schiff a headache, CNN praises her style and moderate beliefs about climate change (she thinks it is a serious threat) and points out that she was against Yovanovitch tweet. Why is CNN praising her? I think because she is a woman who fights sexism, was working to raise money for female R…

Fox News: Trump trolls ambassador as she testifies, says all her diplomatic assignments turned bad

Trump’s twitter comment after Yovanovitch testified today and after she said that she was being kneecapped: “Everywhere Marie Yovanovitch went turned bad. She started off in Somalia, how did that go? Then fast forward to Ukraine, where the new Ukrainian President spoke unfavorably about her in my second phone call with him. It is a U.S. President’s absolute right to appoint ambassadors”

According to Fox News…

Good analysis, but I do not necessarily agree with you. Witness intimidation does not have to be explicit, and it does not have to amount to a threat. What suffices is that someone is left to apprehend a public attack. And Trump did it live.

2
patkgreen · 2 months ago

He only repeated what he said a couple of weeks ago. What is new? Why did not Schiff whine about witness intimidation back then?

There is a huge difference between saying something like this live, during the impeachment hearing, and saying that in an interview. He has been all over her.

Fox News: Tom Del Beccaro: Top 5 impeachment hearing takeaways from Day One

  1. There is no bipartisanship but “us vs them” mentality, where the goal is to outsmart the opponent, and not to find out the truth
  2. A limited number of facts, because of leaks and transcripts
  3. The Dems are only arguing about intent, because Ukraine got the aid without doing anything. It is impossible to prove Trump’s bad intent
  4. Ukraine corruption is worthy of investigation, especially the role of Bidens…

Fox News: Bombshell or hearsay?

Taylor testified that a member of his staff overheard Trump asking Sondland about the investigations to which Sondland responded that they were ready to move forward. Sondland also told a member of Taylor’s staff that the only thing Trump cares about is the investigation of Bidens.
However, GOP Jim Jordan got Taylor to admit that in three separate meetings US officials held with Zelensky, they never mentioned their intention to hold up aid. He also got Taylor to admit that …
