Everyone has been mocking Washington Post for their “austere religious scholar headline”. But I think it reveals a lot more about our society. It was not only WP, many other newspapers were reluctant to talk about al-Baghdadi in harsh terms. I think it is about that typical liberal PC language, and the need not to be accused of Islamophobia.

Remember this Obama’s speech:
"Lest we get on our high horse and think this is unique to some other place, remember that during the Crusades and the Inquisition, people committed terrible deeds in the name of Christ… [And] slavery and Jim Crow all too often [were] justified in the name of Christ.’

What do you think about all this?

What Obama said was shameful. There is no way one can compare the crimes of the crusaders with those of ISIS, killing civilians, completely innocent people, in the name of a crazy cult. And do not even get me started on comparing the Quran with the Bible! :)
