The greatest generation was ripped from their home and thrown into war. Today’s generation complains about being asked to stay home.
Sometimes it is easier to go to war than to stay at home, doing nothing and slowly succumbing to panic.
Really? You think these guys, facing thousands of Germans that are shooting at them and watching as their friends get their heads blown off would choose storming the beach over sitting at home bored? You might want to rethink that one. If you are sitting at home succumbing to panic that you might catch a virus that currently has a 98.55% chance of surviving in the United States, then you probably have some issues.
How do you know that they did not complain about being sent to war? They had no choice. And how can you tell that the millennials would complain? The panic can be artificially created.
Don’t twist your original comment now. “Sometimes it’s easier to go to war than to stay home, doing nothing and slowly succumbing to panic.” Clearly you’ve never run towards the gunfire and put your life on the line for your country. If you ever have, you never would have said something so ridiculous. I guarantee the soldiers facing death, watching death, getting maimed and seeing horror would have rather been home. All we are asking is the younger generation to stay home. That was my point. Do we need a curfew to force them on such an easy and socially responsible request? Pretty sad reflection on our snowflakes if we do. Currently, they are still going out to the bars and restaurants where able and we can all watch the Spring Breaker’s carrying on like nothing is happening. Easier to go to war than to stay home…unbelievable.
