Europeans are stupid. They’re like sheep, you can manipulate them the way you want. Thankfully, this nationwide lockdown would never be possible in the US.

I dunno, my English buddy lives by the coast in Southwold, Eastern coast, and a neighbour was approached by an officer and she had a small bag of groceries. He asked her ‘what have you got in there’? to which she replied, 'what do you think I’ve got in there '?.. so not exactly a police state down in Southwold.

Anecdotes, anecdotes…
Is it possible that Europeans cannot see where this is leading them? Police state, Putin, Orban…Do they really want this?

I have my finger on this particular pulse, and CNN, like the Guardian in the UK, are spinning a web of b.s. I also listened to an interview with a senior police official, spoke to many friends over the pond, and it’s far from turning into a ‘police state.’

And what’s wrong with the odd anecdote ffs?

Because it does not tell us anything about the nature of a police state.

Reality in an anecdote…from a friends experience 2 days ago…hmm, anecdotal or not, hardly totalitarian is it.

British police are doing their best under very difficult circumstances, just like NHS staff, underprotected to the virus, and attempting to implement Johnsons instructions. Boris may well have been slow to start off with but he and his cabinet have worked hard in finding a solution to this pandemic and if people ignore this, the police will speak with them. I heard of two cases of both a police officer and an NHS nurse being targetted with phlegm in their faces… never an easy job.
