I’m nostalgic about those happy old days when all we could read about was the impeachment.

Trump was not informed quickly enough by Mike Pence, had a couple of confused ideas about the virus but seems to be up to speed now.

Putting Pence in charge was so obviously a ploy from the beginning. It was Trump trying to dodge responsibility, blame Pence for anything that goes wrong! But why Trump wouldn’t be taking charge of this most serious threat from the beginning was a failure to step up.

And now he could be infected too…He shook hands with this Brazilian press secretary who tested positive for the coronavirus.

Why do you think that using his vice president as a scapegoat would actually make Trump look good? I mean…he is not that stupid.

truth_hurts · 7 months ago

He was the first to ban travel from China while the rest of the world let the infected Chinese in. They proceeded to accuse him of racism when he took that first step. Now he has banned international travel while most of the world continues. Pretty sure if he cured cancer he’d be accused of hurting the health profession and pharmaceutical industry. Lots of criticism from democrats with no explanation of what they would have done differently and when.

It is not true that he banned travel from China. He imposed NO restrictions on Americans, who were traveling back and forth. As Klain explains here, the day after Trump’s supposed “travel ban”, more than 100 planes from China landed in San Francisco, Los Angeles and New York City, all of them carrying American citizens. So what kind of a travel ban is that?
No Dems criticized his decision as racist. That is another one of Trump’s stupid accusations.
On top of that, he made a stupid decisions of not tracking possible coronavirus cases INSIDE the country.

That was the evacuation of American citizens to get them out of the China and place them in quarantine here. Why did you link a 4 hour video? I have a job.

JacePearce · 7 months ago

Nice try…They could have easily been quarantined in China. By doing that, Trump only made the situation worse . Why do you keep saying “I have a job, I have a job”, being a student is illegal?

truth_hurts · 7 months ago

They are Americans and he rightly removed them from the epicenter. They were quarantined for at least 14 days and constantly monitored. They weren’t released from quarantine until they were tested, deemed safe and not infected. Am i wrong in assuming you know how a quarantine works? Your words make it sound like you don’t. Bringing them home didn’t make anything worse. The infections likely came in from everywhere else including Italy. Btw, he linked a 4 hour video like I’d spend a minute watching that. My other reference was to Gardenrose who was speculating why I wasn’t responding. I work 40-80 hours a week. I’m busy.
