Why would he go to Urgent Care with no insurance? Everyone knows you go to the Hospital ED when you have no insurance. He also clearly waited far too long before he sought help. Bernie’s ideas wouldn’t have helped him. He obviously was already beyond the ability of Urgent Care who often refers people to go to the Hospital even when they have insurance.
I am questioning whether Bernie initially went to an Urgent care centre, if so, it is unlikely they could have dealt with the virus through lack of relevant equipment. However, he should have been seen by those who could deal with his health problem…insured or not.
They did. They referred him to a place that had the equipment to deal with him. He was a walk in at Urgent Care. He should have been a walk in at the Hospital.
And what about medical ethics? What about saving people’s lives in the first place? Profit before people. Our new national motto.
The US is the only country that lets its people die like dogs.

“Everybody is coming together to get the job done”. And they let this kid die?!
If this is really the case, it’s a sad indictment of a teenager being let down by the system. No-one should be denied help especially at this time.
You are questioning the mayor?

The boy’s name is not Bernie :) I was referring to Sanders…his Medicare for All would put an end to this. That is why I wrote “Remember Bernie”
Shit happens Sarah.
Urgent care or not, their profession obliges them to help him in SOME way.

The hospital was always available to him with or without insurance.
