The U.K will certainly not want to
scupper a deal with the U.S, It would
be good for both Nations, especially
the U.K.
And it depends whether the U.K can
exit the Customs Union, and the high
E.U tariffs that come with that.

Johnson is in a position where he must
keep both the U.S and the E.U happy,
that is quite a juggling act.

Trump is not on good terms with the
E.U and would prefer Farage’s mandate
to leave on a clean break, which would
mean being free of the Customs Union.
Johnson’s ‘deal’ would be much more
submissive in the E.U’s favour, with
‘transition periods’ put into place.
