exit the Customs Union, and the high
E.U tariffs that come with that.
Johnson is in a position where he must
keep both the U.S and the E.U happy,
that is quite a juggling act.
Trump is not on good terms with the
E.U and would prefer Farage’s mandate
to leave on a clean break, which would
mean being free of the Customs Union.
Johnson’s ‘deal’ would be much more
submissive in the E.U’s favour, with
‘transition periods’ put into place.
