S. Korea started testing on February 7th while we lost a month in regulation and bureaucracy and the heads of the CDC, FDA and HHS couldn’t speed things up or develop a reliable test. It’s too bad Obama blew off H1N1 in 2009 and didn’t prepare this nation for the next inevitable pandemic. He had 7 years to get us ready after 12400 Americans died and 60 million Americans became infected under his watch. I guess he was too busy “transforming America” to his vision. It’s unfortunate his liberal vision of America had little to do with protecting us. But hey, he did make it ok for dudes to go in the ladies room. I guess that was more important too.

You are so out of touch with reality, are you?

Why we fell behind South Korea

  1. When South Korea began testing on February 7th, Trump was busy explaining that this virus was only a democratic hoax and nothing to worry about.

  2. When asked about South Korean methods, he answered that “it’s not effective like what we are doing”

  3. The WHO developed tests in January, but we decided not to use them.

  4. This pandemic is happening on Trump’s watch and he had 3 years to prepare for it.
As a comparison, Obama started testing a day before the first death and only two weeks after H1N1 was identified.

Trump’s narcissism is killing us.

Yeah, nice try lol. Btw, the United States still only had 15 cases as of February 24th. Let me know how Obama prepared us for this after allowing 12,400 to die under his watch and 60 million American citizens get infected. There was no social distancing, nothing cancelled, no stay at home orders, no closed businesses or states. Life continued as normal and the virus ran through us for a year. After 20% of his population became infected you’d think maybe he’d take it seriously and make some changes. Don’t you remember that in 2009 or was there too much going on in 5th grade?

What are you talking about? You are comparing 12.400 deaths in a year, with 2.200 deaths in less than two months?!
Obama declared a national emergency right away, produced testing kits and came up with a vaccine in 6 months.
Schools and childcare facilities were closed as soon as the WHO declared a pandemic (which was in June). There was no need for more drastic measures, which is not the case with Covid 19 (2.5 times more contagious).
So what if he had only 15 cases as of February 24th? He could have looked at China, Italy, South Korea etc etc. Obama reacted as soon as H1N1 was identified.

Obama did nothing. Life as America knew it had zero disruptions.
